Food is an essential part of our life. From food we get our energy and thus it's an essential source that allow us to live on.
I chose this topic as I really like food (not eating; studying.) What amazes me is that different countries uses different ways of cooking a similiar type of food. For example: a banana. In Singapore, we just eat it as it is. But maybe, say, in Brazil, they eat it with rice and black beans as bananas have a naturally sweet taste. (:
There are a large variety of food here in Singapore. They're from countries all around the world, such as Japan, Thailand, India, Korean etc. Some foods are cooked according to the traditional methods, which makes these food harder to find, and sometimes, pricier than our local specialities
I really want to travel around the world and taste different countries' exotic food. It amazes me because the food overseas really is special. As Singapore is a well known country, I really hope more foreigners come here to stay and bring along foods form their culture and introduce it here.
Here in Singapore, I love the foods that derive from other countries better than that of local specialties. I have no idea why, but I just do. I guess I'm just fussy eater, or maybe different people just have different taste buds. Who knows? (:
End.
